A released or out-of-custody result supports that the reporting agency submitted a custody change. It is not a certified discharge certificate. It may not explain the legal reason, and it does not rule out an immediate transfer to another parish, DPS&C, ICE, USMS, or another custodian.
VINELink status is time-sensitive. A roster disappearance or search miss cannot prove release without a dated record from the agency that held the person.

A similarly titled sheriff page can cause confusion. The LPSO page labeled “Victim Notification Request” contains Crime Victims Reparations information and a local services contact. It is not the custody-alert enrollment page. Use the sheriff page only for the reparations program it actually describes.
Choose the record-specific Register control at Lincoln LAVNS or the Louisiana VINELink person record for custody alerts. If the person has already disappeared, contact LPDC and request the dated booking/release record rather than treating either roster as a past-release index.
Lincoln Parish Formal Victim Notices
DPS&C Victim Outreach is separate from anonymous public VINELink enrollment. Its formal registration can address notices such as a successful appeal, transitional-work placement, release from physical custody, escape, and pardon or parole hearings. Registering with one program should not be described as automatic enrollment in the other. Select the process that matches the person, custody system, and notice need, and retain each confirmation separately.
Confirm Lincoln Parish Release Alerts
VINELink does not replace a custodian’s release sheet. When LPDC reports a change, ask the detention center whether the named booking ended, the recorded date and time, the release authority or type, and the destination or receiving agency. Match that answer to the court’s bond order, dismissal, sentence, or minute entry.
